In a strange old year, the Wellington improv community was ridiculously lucky to have an international improv festival (albeit one tagged ‘Close to Home), we celebrated and played with our favorite art form. It wasn’t quite the same of course, without any international guests except virtually, but hey, it was a darn good time. Me, I got the change to take a bunch of workshops with fab local teachers, photograph fine shows, and even be in fine shows – including staging a Festival edition of Poe’d. But, we were all a little wistful about the faces that weren’t there. Next time hopefully friends?
