Lights in the sky!

Last Thursday, and again tonight, there’s been enough aurora in the sky for it to be visible where I live – this almost never happens. At least not on moonless nights when there’s no cloud. So, back to basics trying to remember how to do astrophotography. View to the South over Lake Wairarapa, from near Featherston, New Zealand.

Bottom photo, using a fisheye lensbaby lens, just for fun

Delightful to be outside, despite the ravenous mosquitos
