April is for … Aurora?

I live at about 40°S, a little bit far north for the super spectacular sort of sky magic you get further nearer the pole but Monday 24th of April there was quite the display of all the magnetic things. And, not so very much cloud happening, an added bonus. I’ll def be checking spaceweather.com to see what else is coming this way.

Here’s a composite ‘star trail’ of 10-11pm, from Featherston looking South across Lake Wairarapa, New Zealand.

Settings were iso 400, f/1.8 15sec, with a 20mm lens.

Annd this one, just a single shot (same settings)
